Le Coucou Hotel, Méribel - Belvedere
Five-star hotel with ski-in and ski-out access
Located in the upmarket area of Méribel Belvedere, this small luxury hotel offers a ski-to-the door experience. Wonderfully designed, it looks like a traditional Alpine chalet on the outside and a minimalist designer's house on the inside.
The hotel has only 55 rooms, 39 of which are suites, most of them boasting a terrace with breathtaking mountain views. There are also two independent chalets connected to the hotel through a corridor.
Designed by award-winning architect Pierre Yovanovitch, the building and its decor "focus above all on the purity of lines, the strength of volumes, the elegance of materials and mastery of light, be it a 17th century château in Provence or a triplex in New York."
The hotel has a spa and wellness area with two swimming pools, a fitness area and a sauna. Beauty treatments are provided by organic skincare brand Tata Harper.
There are two restaurants and a bar in the hotel. Beefbar is a steakhouse offering the rarest meats in the world on the hotel's sun-drenched terrace, while Biancaneve is a gourmet Italian eatery. The hotel's chic lounge bar offers drinks, cocktails and snacks.
