Located in an exceptional area, Chalet Les Matines offers ski-in/ski-out access and is surrounded by a beautiful forest. Please note, the chalet is not suitable for people with limited mobility as you will need to climb approximately fifty steps to access the property on foot (ski access is from above). The ceilings in the bedrooms are low, so may not be suitable for taller individuals.
Prime location and stunning views
Nestled in the heart of the forest, at the edge of the Tourism Office slope, this chalet enjoys amazing views of the Meribel valley and surrounding mountains. It’s just a few minutes from the centre of Meribel and the ski lifts, offering the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. The south-facing sun terrace is perfect for those wanting to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air, while keen skiers can plan their day’s adventure over breakfast.
Authentic Savoyard charmThe chalet’s design is inspired by the pure Savoyard style, with furniture reminiscent of Charlotte Perriand’s creations. The architecture stays true to the Christian Durupt Meribel chalets tradition, giving the property an authentic and charming feel.

Location and access
Chalet Les Matines is situated on Chemin des Cornettes, alongside the Doron ski piste leading to La Chaudanne (the main snow front with many lifts). You’ll enjoy ski-in/ski-out access to the renowned 3 Vallées ski area.
The tourist office escalator is just 100m away, providing easy access to the Meribel Centre, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants, bars, bakeries, ski shops, and other amenities.
Transportation and access
During the winter season, cars cannot access the chalet directly. The closest point is 100m away, and we’ll be happy to assist with carrying your luggage. Parking is available at Ravines car park for 85 euros a week.
Once you’re at the chalet, everything is within walking distance, so you can leave your car behind and enjoy the surroundings.

No need to carry your ski equipment around with you! Simply pick it up from the ski shop in resort. You can collect your equipment from at least 5pm the day before your first skiing day.

Méribel-Mottaret is a purpose-built resort dating from the 1970s. It shares Méribel’s chalet-style architecture but most of its accommodation is in the form of large apartment blocks and hotels. The resort is mostly car-free and much of the accommodation is ski-in, ski-out. It has a good selection of shops, services, bars and restaurants.
Les Allues is a charming traditional Savoyard village just a short gondola ride from Méribel. It offers a genuine Alpine atmosphere with a mix of chalets, apartments and essential amenities. Ski access is good, though the return run may close early in the season. It’s perfect if you want a peaceful stay close to the slopes with authentic village life.
La Tania is a small, family-friendly resort known for its traffic-free centre and charming wood-clad buildings. Sitting between Courchevel and Méribel, it offers easy access to the Trois Vallées ski area and a relaxed, good-value atmosphere. Perfect for those seeking a quieter, welcoming ski holiday.
Brides-les-Bains is a bustling spa town at 600 metres down at the bottom of the valley, linked with Méribel by the Olympe gondola lift. This valley town offers a decent range of accommodation at a fraction of the price of the Méribel resorts.
