The neighbourhood
Méribel-Mottaret is the highest village in the Méribel Valley, stretching up from 1750m. Created in the 1970s, Méribel-Mottaret is mainly made-up of chalet-style apartment buildings situated on the edge of the pistes. Almost all the accommodation offers direct access on foot to the pistes and you can leave your car in the indoor car park. The head of the valley is dominated by the Mont Vallon, rising to 3000m above the resort. Mottaret is surrounded by a forest of fir-trees and is next to the Tueda Nature Reserve, with its lake, pine forest, cross-country skiing pistes and hiking trails.
