1. Le Cafe del Mott Restaurant and Bar

Part of the Hotel le Mottaret, this bar has a fantastic sunny terrace serving lunch and après-ski tunes, just 50m from the Perdrix and Furet green runs.

The lunch menu proposes a selection of juicy burgers, daily specials and an extensive salad bar. If the weather is bad then you can hunker up inside, but when the sun is out so is their bbq, and their three level south facing terrace with views of the Méribel valley is hard to beat.

Après-ski kicks off every afternoon with a line up of live music and DJs throughout the winter season. Chill out in a comfy armchair by one of the fire pits and enjoy the relaxed music and vibes with a cold beer in hand.

Situated next to the gentle green runs that lead back to Mottaret centre, this is a great choice for a spot of lunch or an end of day après beer, as even the most inexperienced skiers in your group will still be able to ski to the door.

Restaurant is open daily from 11:30 to 22:30.

2. La Terrasse du Mottaret Restaurant

A versatile mountain restaurant perfect for lunch, dinner, coffee or drinks. Conveniently located in front of the Plattières télécabine, it’s easily accessible for both skiers and pedestrians. The menu features a tasty selection of pizza, loaded burgers, fresh salads and comforting pasta dishes, making it ideal for a quick bite on the go or a relaxed meal. With its friendly atmosphere and prime location, it’s a popular spot to refuel and unwind in the mountains.

They are family friendly and offer a good plat du jour plus a varied menu including great pizzas, salads, burgers and pasta.

You'll often find live music being played on Sundays in winter, creating a nice atmosphere.

3. La Vieille Crêperie Restaurant

In the centre of Meribel Mottaret, in the shopping centre, it's ideally close to the pistes for stop-off for lunch during your day on the mountain, as well as easily accessed for dinner if you're staying in resort.

The menu is extensive, with a good variety of savoury galettes and sweet crepes to choose from. Be sure to get yourself a bottle of cidre to wash it down. They also offer popular Savoyarde specialities, tartiflette, fondue and croziflette, as well as salads and pasta dishes.

On warmer and sunny days, the terrace is very inviting and a great spot for a leisurely lunch. Inside is a cosy restaurant.

It's a popular spot and booking is recommended during school holidays in particular.

Open during the winter season from 11:45 and all afternoon for lunch, dinner and snacks stops.

4. Cote 2000 Restaurant

Open during the day and in the evenings where you gain access via a piste basher! They have a self-service area for a quick lunch and a gastronomic restaurant.

At the restaurant, you will find traditional Savoyard food including charcuterie, beef tartare, foie gras, grilled meat and fish, seafood, fondue, raclette, oysters and homemade desserts.

The self-service is a more informal affair offering salads, charcuterie and cheese platters, quiche, burgers, diots, sausages, pasta, tartiflette and traditional desserts. Enjoy them in the dining room or the large sun terrace with breathtaking views.

Located at the intersection of the Aigle & Aiglon pistes.

5. La Briz Olee Restaurant

A mountain chalet serving traditional French cuisine and local specialities. Decorated in a typical Savoyard style, they have a large and sunny terrace facing the slopes. Chef Olivier Rouffignac serves a good selection of local specialities, meat, pizzas and fish dishes at middle of the range prices. There are children's and skier's menus available, as well as a great range of homemade desserts.

Open for lunch and dinner in the summer and winter season.

6. La Sittelle Bar and Restaurant

Fast food restaurant near the Plattières snow park with a great sunny terrace.

They serve breakfast and lunch, with a menu that includes burgers, snacks, tartiflette and lasagne, as well as a plat du jour. Apparently, their hot chocolate with chantilly cream is pretty good.

Accessible via the Combets and Plan des Mains chairlifts. Open from December to April, every day from 09:00 to 17:00.

7. Cote Brune Restaurant

Open all day for coffee, lunch, après-ski and dinner, it's easy to find a reason to visit this restaurant, especially given its fabulous location at the main lift hub in Mottaret. 

Whether you want to snuggle up beside the fire inside this cosy chalet style restaurant, or bask in the sunshine on one of its two terraces, you will find a warm welcome awaiting you here. With views straight up Mont Vallon, you have easy access to the centre of Mottaret as well as the slopes of the rest of the three valleys.  

At lunch time you can choose from traditional dishes and Savoyard specialities, as well as pizzas, pasta, meat and fish dishes or their daily changing plat du jour. In the evening, a more refined menu is available, showcasing some of the best produce the region has to offer. And if you still have space, don't miss out trying one of their delicious home made desserts!

8. Le Rastro Bar and Restaurant

Renowned for their après-ski sessions this bar and restaurant is open every day in winter for food, drinks and dancing.

Located at Le Chatelet, just across from the Plattières gondola, you can enjoy some really good authentic cooking here, with regional specialities like fondue and raclette as well as their daily specials menu and pizzas and crêpes. The warm welcome, cosy interior and great live bands have made this place a bit of an institution in Mottaret and they also have a fantastic sunny terrace for when the weather is fine.

Le Rasto offer a take away service for their pizzas, crêpes and snacks.

Open from 09:00 to 01:30, it's a good idea to book yourself a table early, especially if you plan to dance on it later!

9. Le Plan des Mains Restaurant

Located at the bottom of the Mont du Vallon gondola and the Plan des Mains chair lift, this Savoyard style restaurant sits at 2100m and is easily accessible from Courchevel and Val Thorens.

It's a traditional-style restaurant serving Savoyard dishes plus a selection of wok-cooked dishes and they make all their own bread too, all for you to enjoy within view of the Mont Vallon mountain. You can sit down for a proper lunch or enjoy one of their sandwiches or snacks. They also have a bar and a tea room with a large terrace to enjoy the views from.

It's a better than average menu for a mountain restaurant, so expect to pay better than average prices. Accessible on skis, on foot and also accessible by disabled clients. If you're on foot take the Plattieres lift up and the Plan des Mains lift down to the restaurant.

Open daily 09:00 - 17:00 in winter.

10. La Table du Ruitor Restaurant

This restaurant is ideally situated right on the pistes of Meribel, offering easy access by skis or on foot and stunning views of the mountains.

Enjoy a hearty lunch on the sunny terrace, where rapid and efficient service will ensure that you don't lose any time on the slopes! They have range of salads, grills, pastas, risottos and mountain specialities, such as the famous croziflette! “Les Rendezvous de La Table” (one different traditional dish for every day of the week) is also on offer. The brasserie is split over two floors, with an open kitchen and a Argentinian inspired grill. Service is from 12:00 to 14:30.

In the evening, La Table du Ruitor presents an unforgettable evening with friends and/or family for hotel guests and outside guests as well. In a nod to Argentinean establishments of "Maison Fenestraz", the chef has succulent cuts of meat, cut and cooked on the grill like in South America! The half board menu includes an amuse bouche, appetizer, main course, cheese and dessert buffet. Every Thursday, the must do Savoyard evening will introduce you to the regional flavours with unlimited fondue or raclette. There also is the option to choose à la carte and wines from the extensive wine list.

Service is from 19:00 to 21:30. You can relax by the crackling log fire or enjoy a drink at the bar before or after your meal.

11. Chalet Tonia Restaurant

This restaurant, located at the top of the Combes chairlift, serves home cooked Savoyard and Lyonnaise cuisine in a traditional atmosphere.

With a roaring log fire inside and a sunny terrace outside, this restaurant is a nice place to stop whatever the weather. Find them at the top of the Combes chairlift which leaves from Meribel Mottaret.

Open daily throughout the winter season from 09:00 to 16:30.

12. Pizzeria du Mottaret Restaurant

A Mottaret institution, this restaurant has been pleasing hungry skiers for decades. It’s located at the foot of the slopes, close to the Tourist Office, making it a convenient lunch stop. The décor is charmingly old-fashioned, and the pizzas are invariably good with a wide choice of over 15 pizzas on the menu, including all the old favourites and a few more original creations such as the Kebab pizza. There’s also a wide range of hearty traditional French dishes and pastas on the menu. 

They have an oyster kiosk right in front, so you can enjoy seafood platters in the restaurant or take them home. Other specialities include pizza, fresh pasta, tartares and steaks. Open in the winter season every day from 12:00 to 22:30, non-stop service.
