This authentic Savoyard restaurant welcomes you with a variety of fine-dining possibilities for your lunch break in the Courchevel Valley.

A mountain restaurant in Courchevel, Chalet de Pierres welcomes you with a sunny south-facing terrace for you to indulge in a fine dining experience on the slopes. The peaceful location and friendly atmosphere create the perfect setting for a delicious lunch break, especially as the staff cater to your every need including supplying throws, blankets and patio heaters if you chose to stay outside.

Inside, the authentic restaurant boasts a variety of pleasant dining areas for you to choose from including alcoves, bars and private rooms. The upstairs lounge and dinning area draws you in with a crackling fire as well as large bay windows offering breathtaking views over the surrounding snowy scenery. With its rustic old wood, cut stone and grand fireplace, the restaurant stays true to its cultural heritage and style. This is equally true of the choice of menu, as traditional Savoyard cuisine such as fondues and raclettes are on offer, as well as the restaurant's best-selling Beaufort tart.

For those seeking something less traditional, there are Italian dishes available and the terrace displays an incredible shellfish and seafood buffet.

Chalet de Pierres is open from 12:00 - 16:30. The restaurant is easily accessible on foot, on your skis or by car.

2. Bagatelle Restaurant

Part of the prestigious Bagatelle Bistrot brand, with branches in New York, Ibiza, St Barth, Dubai and London, this mountain restaurant brings yet more luxury to the Courchevel slopes.

Their terrace has breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc and the surrounding valleys with a 360º panoramic view. They serve the brand signature French cuisine, including foie gras, baked Mont d'Or cheese with truffles, tuna tartare, fresh fish and meat, pasta and even lobster. Of course, these all come with a super luxury price tag as well.

Open from December to April.

3. Chalet de Pierres Restaurant

Decorated in antique wood and stone this restaurant has great views over the Saulire, with a bar and a fireplace to warm up by.

Simple,generous cuisine awaits you with a rich menu of classics such as Beaufort cheese tart, delicious cuts of meat, home-made bread and an incredible desserts buffet. Musicians, singers and a DJ are on hand to liven up your meal and top off a great day's skiing with music.

They serve local specialities, seafood, spit-cooked meats and have a great dessert buffet to choose from.

Find them on the Piste de Verdons in the Jardin Alpin area.

4. Les Verdons Restaurant

This mountain restaurant is located at the top of the Verdons cable car that departs from Courchevel 1850 and at the bottom of the bubble lift that takes you up to La Saulire - in other words, right in the middle of the Courchevel ski area!

The close proximity to two main lifts means that it can easily be reached on foot as well as on skis, making it ideal for meeting up with friends.

The restaurant serves buffet and à la carte lunches, snacks and drinks every day from 11:00 to 16:00. The huge sunny terrace is a great place to fill up with a hearty skiers lunch! It is especially good on bad weather days due to the large cosy interior.

They serve a mixture of Savoyard and some international dishes (Chinese spring roll starter; eggs, bacon & chips). Main courses around €15 to €30 with a reasonably priced plat du jour.
