What's on in Meribel this week 10th March 2017

This weekend sees the return of the Six Nations rugby tournament after last week’s break in the competition. Friday night, catch Wales and Ireland at a 21:05 kick-off. Saturday 11th, Italy and France play at 14:30 with England and Scotland following in a match at 17:00.

Lodge du Village, Jacks Bar and Barometer are great venues to catch all the rugby action with killer deals on offer. Jacks Bar is offering happy hour prices on jugs of beer during every game. The deal ends as soon as the first try is made. Alternatively, grab a jug of beer and juicy chicken wings for €30 during every match at LDV.

The Dominos will be playing at Tsaretta in Les Allues on Friday from 22:00 and they've got their weekly Fish n Chips special on too.

After a big day of weekend sport, head to Evolution this Saturday night for another International Buffet event. Pay €20 and indulge in an all-you-can-eat feast of Mezze cuisine including falafel, flatbread, tzatziki, harissa, babaganoush, syrian lentils, beef Roka salad, lamb tagine, Moroccan chicken and cous cous. The kitchen closes at 22:00 and you'll need to call to make a reservation.

From 22:30, enjoy soulful live music at Evolution’s busiest weekly event, Open Mic Night. Hosted by Sian Smith, Westy, Jass and Max le Sax, get involved and sing along to some favourites with the crew. Grab a 2-4-1 deal on any menu cocktails between 21:00 - 22:00 or ask bartender Ashton, to whip you up something of his own if you’re feeling fancy.

Sunday night is Fun-do Night at La Taverne restaurant. Pay €20 for a sirloin steak cooked to perfection OR cheesy Savoyarde fondue. Then, later on upstairs in the bar, groove to tunes played by Ze Funkin English and enjoy 2-4-1 spirit mixers, wine, beer and sodas from 21:00.

Toss the Boss is a Sunday tradition at Lodge du Village. Take a risk with the boss by rolling the dice for your chance to win a free round, any round. It all kicks off from 22:00.

The Killerbeez will be playing during après at The Rond Point for your afternoon Sunday sesh. Then later on, catch The Wingmen at Evolution, DJ Kaya at Le Pub and a surprise DJ at Jacks Bar for the weekly Shameless night. Jacks Bar drink promo’s include €5 pints and 2-4-1 spirit mixers from 9pm.

Monday means another week of Meat Grill Monday’s happening between 19:00 - 22:00 at Evolution. For just €20, enjoy the meaty-goodness of a set menu boasting succulent sirloin and gammon steaks, southern fried chicken wings, kindo BBQ ribs, garlic prawns, grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, grilled cob and homemade chips plus béarnaise sauce and salad. Once you’ve cleared your plate of all its meaty goodness, enjoy live music from The Mardy Johnny Depps at 22:30 and grab a long island ice tea for just €7.50 anytime between 22:00 to midnight.

After the soothing tunes of Alex Davies for après at Lodge du Village, take a journey back in time with the bar’s Speakeasy event also happening Monday night from 22:00. With a 1920’s prohibition theme, enjoy live evening music as well as a list of unique cocktails on a 2-4-1 offer between 22:00 - 23:00.

Jay Tamkin solo-ing at Jacks Bar from 17:00, The Marivaux Duo at Ronnie during après and for a little later on, The Dominos will feature at Pub from 22:00.

Tuesday is a night to look forward to with a massive Full Moon UV Paint Party happening from 22:00 at Jacks Bar. Pay €5 per ticket and gain entry to one of Jack’s Bars biggest events all season. Bangin’ beats with DJ Danz, glow sticks and UV paint makes for an epic night out along with drink promo’s including €2 shots of Genepi, toffee vodka, Jager and Sambuca, and €2.50 Jagerbombs. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance as it’s sure to be a sell-out!

Tequila Tuesday’s is happening again this Tuesday at Scott’s Bar with €12 wraps on offer between 19:00 - 22:00, 2-4-1 cocktails between 22:00 - 23:00 and €2 tequila shots between 22:00-close.

For your Tuesday après line-up, catch Daisy B & Tom at Jacks, Mike and Rich at The Ronnie and Bring Your Sisters at Lodge du Village from 16:30. Later on take your pick of evening music with Bubble & Crisp at Le Pub and Hobo Chic at Evolution from 22:30.

A huge extended après takes place at Jacks Bar this week with a three-act music medley of The Mardy Johnny Depps, Wingmen and MAPS playing from 17:00. They have Happy hour between 16:00 -17:00 and an extended pizza hour between 21:00 - 23:00 with all menu pizzas on offer for €9.50.

Wednesday’s are also huge at The Rond Point with epic graphics and electronic beats from resident DJ’s Bubble & Crisp. Get down early to secure a table and enjoy the outdoor vibes and cheap eats from the terrace snack shack.

For a more mellow après session, head to Meribel Village to catch band, Mr Clean at LDV. Later on, The Wingmen will be playing in Le Pub for your evening music dose.

Thursday night’s main event is Bandeoke at Lodge du Village. Hosted by the Mikey Gray All Stars (including members of The Domino’s), front your own rock band to win a €250 bar tab for the best performance. Sign up in the bar with your song choice and get involved!

You’re spoilt for choice for live music around town on Thursday with Hobo Chic for après at Jacks, Dutch Courage at The Rond Point, Two Far Cajon at LDV and Bubble & Crisp in the evening at Tav.

Friday afternoon, step outside into the beautiful sunshine to enjoy après at LDV with one of the most popular bands in the Alps, Coco and the Butterfields. Making another star appearance this season, the group will be playing on the terrace from 16:00. Having recently performed two sell out gigs at the 02 Academy in Islington and were last year on the shortlist for Britain’s entry into the Eurovision Song Contest, they’re one not to be missed!

Alternatively, The Dominos will play live at the Ronnie for après on Friday afternoon with The Mikey Gray show happening at Jacks Bar from 16:00. Don’t miss Mikey and his roadie, Craigo, as they pump out all the tunes from classic rock to old school hip-hop and maybe even throw in a bit of Justin Bieber just to keep the crowd happy.

Daisy B & Tom will be hosting Open Mic Night at Scott’s Bar Friday night and Dominos will feature for their second gig of the night in Les Allues at Tsaretta.
