What's on in Meribel This Week: 8th December 2015

Meribel and the 3 Valleys are open! WOOHOO! Over the coming weeks more and more lifts and slopes will begin to open, but that’s not all that is starting to open. We will also see the doors open on many of the amazing watering holes all over resort and those that are already open have plenty of exciting events to keep you entertained over the coming weeks.

Here is a round up of some of the upcoming events and openings in Meribel.

O’Sullivans Opening – Thursday 10th December

The Den upstairs will be open for pre drinks before Meribel’s late night favourite O’Sullivans (formerly Dicks Tea Bar) officially opens for the season. Expect great tunes and jagerbombs aplenty in this cavernous underground nightclub.

90s Party at Jack’s Bar – Friday 11th December

The DJ will be playing all the best cassettes. Think Spice Girls, B’Witched and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Great excuse to dig out your popper trousers and Kickers jumpers. I’ll be bringing down my Pog collection for some rad swaps – see you there!

Lodge du Village Opening Night – Friday 11th December

This Friday, LDV opens its doors. Gareth and Westy will be providing the music from 10 until late. Drink deals all night long and free buses to and from town until midnight so there’s no excuse not to come down and join the party.

La Taverne – 2for1 Sundays – Every Sunday

Every Sunday at the Tav from 21:00 to 01:30 great music from Ze Funkin English and two drinks for the price of one on selected drinks.

Mountain Movers Freshers Fair – Tuesday 15th December

Meribel Auditorium plays host to this introductory event for the third year running. Come down for food and drink samples from local bars and restaurants. You might even be able to pick up a bargain board or pair of skis from one of the local vendors who will be displaying their wares. Most importantly, pick up your Mountain Movers card to get the best drinks deals at various bars and events throughout the season.

Toss The Boss – New home – Every Sunday at LDV

This year the infamous Toss The Boss game has a new home at Lodge du Village. Every Sunday from 10pm. Buy a round, the boss rolls a dice, if you can beat their roll you get that round for free – can’t say much fairer than that.

New Band Showcase – The Doron Pub on Wednesday 16th December

Come check out this season’s new musical offerings in one of Meribel’s favourite music venues.

Stand Up Comedy at LDV – Wednesday 16th December

World-class standup comedy at Lodge Du Village. Dave Fulton and Pete Johansson take to the stage in the first comedy night of the season. Consider buying tickets in advance and get there early if you want to find a safe seat.

Open Mic at Evolution – Every Saturday

Come down to Evos on a Saturday evening to see which of Meribel’s musicians will be taking their turn to entertain your ears. If you’ve got a musical talent you want to show off then why not take the stage yourself.
