The resort of Méribel is made up of a number of different sectors and villages. Méribel Centre is the heart of the resort and around La Chaudanne lift is where you'll find many of the bars, restaurants and shops. However, accommodation is spread out over several sectors, from traditional Mussillon below the centre to Le Belvedere at the top.
In addition, there are outlying villages where you can stay and still have direct access to the ski area. Les Allues is an old mountain village that you pass through on your way up to Méribel and has gondola access to the slopes. Méribel Village is a small hamlet about two kilometres from the centre and offers a quieter place to stay. Further on along this road is La Tania, a small family resort that provides good access to both Courchevel and Méribel ski areas. Finally, sitting above Méribel at 1700m is Mottaret, a modern resort that provides plenty of self catering apartments and direct access to the slopes. Take a look at the map to see where each village is located.
