On a snowy evening in Méribel we took a short bus ride down to Meribel Village to La Terrasse du Village restaurant. The restaurant is part of the infamous après-ski venue, Lodge Du village and the classy dining counterpart.
On arrival we sat in some comfy armchairs in the foyer and enjoyed a drink and some olives before being shown to our table. We were treated to some free amuse-bouche of smoked salmon mascarpone en croute. This consisted of crunchy toast layered with creamy mascarpone, flavourful smoked salmon and a scattering of some salty toasted Parma ham crumb. The flavours were excellently balanced and these tasty little morsels went down an absolute treat with the house red, La Croisade Carignon Vieilles Vignes.
