La Grange Restaurant, Meribel Centre

Gourmet cuisine in a traditional Alpine setting

A log fire, wooden beams and cosy atmosphere create the ambience in this charming gourmet brasserie.

Only open in winter, the restaurant offers a broad menu with something to please everyone including the kids! If you are dining at lunch time, then the south-facing terrace offers an opportunity to do some sunbathing whilst taking in the beautiful surrounding scenery and the fabulous food.

As this is a popular restaurant in the centre of Meribel, booking is advised.

The Bar

The spacious bar and lounge area includes plenty of leather arm chairs where you can relax with a house cocktail or a mulled wine after an active day on the mountain. For those that are feeling a bit peckish, the bar includes its own snack menu to tie you over until dinner time.

Visitor comments

  • "Beautiful place, warm ambient and perfect food. We had a plat de fruit de mer, and after the best burger of foie gras of my life. We loved this place." - Trip Advisor
  • "First time in La Grange, having been to Meribel for 35 years. Happened in by chance, Service (courtesy of Lea) was perfect. We had the seafood risotto and the Fish brochette - both were amazing, we sat in front of a roaring fire where the Chef cooked the brochette. Washed down with a botle of St Veran. Atmosphere and decor fitted the mood to a tee. Will definitely come again." - Trip Advisor
  • "Great service lovely atmosphere. Food was enjoyed by both adults and children. Worth going to when the days close in and you want to relax indoors. Recommend this to any family happy to spend time in Meribel." - Trip Advisor
  • "Having been to Meribel before I was looking for a new place to go for lunch. I went with my stepson and daughter to this restaurant and we found the food and service excellent and the decor of the restaurant is lovely and extremely cosy. Not as pricey as one would expect for a piste side restaurant and I'd definitely recommend it whatever nationality you are as they cater for all.
"This restaurant has a great fish selection, which is quite strange for a mountain resort, but we kept to the theme. We had Moules Marinier and Salmon tartare. Both were excellent. The mussels were a tad on the small side, but the flavours were spot on. The reasonably priced white wine we chose was lovely, and we had cafe gourmand (with an extra coffee) to finish, which was just perfect to share, just to have a taste of something sweet. Service was friendly and attentive and we couldn't fault it. Decor is nice, with a cow print theme running throughout, dark enough to feel cosy and a log fire burning." - Trip Advisor
