Ski ballet lessons available in Meribel

Ski ballet is back and Meribel is jumping on the trend

Next season, ski ballet lessons will be available at a few of the ski schools in Meribel. The sport, popular in the 1970s and 80s, has recently gone viral thanks to Lindsey Vonn's video dancing on the slopes with Jonny Moseley.

Part of the professional freestyle competitions back in the 70s and 80s and an official FIS and Olympic discipline until 2000, ski ballet's most spectacular discipline was the pair ballet in which two people performed tricks including synchronised jumps, spins and lifts.

Upcoming Events

Méribel hosts a number of events throughout the summer and winter months, some of which span the entire Three Valleys. Two such events are Les 3 Vallees Enduro in April with every type of snowboard, ski and telemark racing imaginable, and the 3 Vallées Addict Tour mountain bike festival every July. The Tourist Office also organises children's events and activities during the school holidays.
