Glorious powder day on Thursday for Meribel
With the forecast showing 20cm over Sunday & Monday
It was a powder day in Merible on January 10th, with hard packed pistes giving way to soft snow and perfectly groomed corduroy.
Temperatures have dropped, with -14C on the summits on Thursday, which is good for snow making. The avalanche risk is 2/5, but with a lot of boulders off piste still not properly covered, conditions are still not optimal. On piste, expect a 135cm snow depth at the top of the runs, and 35cm at the bottom. All lifts are open, with 53 runs in action. With more snow forecast for Sunday and Monday, things are looking good in Meribel.
