Meribel Snow Report: 7th December 2011
Heavy snowfall today - the opening weekend is going to be great
Fear not fans of Meribel. The snow has arrived and it has made a big entrance.
It’s been snowing in Meribel since the weekend and the whole town has gone from green fields and bare slopes to a winter wonderland. There has been 18cm fall today and the forecast is for a little more to come down tonight.
As you can see from the pictures it is lying in town and up on the hill we have complete white out conditions as the heavy clouds drop more and more of the white stuff.
The forecasters are predicting clear skies and sun shine for the next few days which should mean that this Saturday when Meribel opens her lifts and connects the Three Valleys together we should have EPIC conditions.
