A new ski security patrol has been put in place on the slopes of Méribel-Mottaret to help inform skiers and prevent accidents on the slopes.
Secuirty patrol are now out in force on known danger spots on the slopes of Meribel-Mottaret
The new team of security officers are here to 'inform, deter and prevent', by being present on the ski slopes the officers are warning skiers of dangerous actions and talking to holiday-makers to ensure they know proper conduct on the piste.
Being in control, respecting others, speeding and being under the influence are all issues that require an increased awareness for safe skiing.
The scheme has been set-up in reaction to feedback received on the subject particularly by foreigners in resort who want to see more of a security presence on the ski slopes.
Hervé Lenoire, director of the Méribel-Mottaret operations says ' if the scheme is successful then the security patrol could be seen in the whole of the 3 Valleys'.
